THE START OF OUR STORY

Every story starts with an idea

Our Founder Sarah was juggling trying to muck out three horses alongside doing the school run and trying to look 'half decent'.

Sarah wanted 'all-in-one' ladies coveralls that she could just pop over her everyday clothes to save time and reduce the washing pile.

After searching in vain for waterproof and practical women's coveralls, Sarah resorted to buying men's industrial overalls and rolling up the sleeves and legs so they almost fit her.

Sarah's 'customised' oversized men's overalls, with baggy waists and pockets that were almost level with her knees, were still strangely admired by her horsey friends, female vets, lady gardeners, etc.

And that is how Posh Muckerz® was born ... why not design posh, practical and pretty waterproof coveralls especially for ladies?

Looking fabulous, staying warm and dry

Sarah commissioned professional pattern cutters, graders, fabric and trim experts and a specialist British outdoor clothing manufacturer and set about designing and creating something fabulous.

Our coveralls were then rigorously tried and tested for practicality, durability and comfort, both on the ground and in the saddle, before being waterproof tested in the laboratory.

The organisers of Olympia, The London International Horse Show heard about our coveralls and invited us to launch Posh Muckerz® at Olympia in December 2018 as one of their 'Olympia Introducing' new innovative products.

Our coveralls are award-winning

We were delighted (and somewhat overwhelmed) when we were then awarded Olympia's coveted rosette for 'Best Exhibitor - Horse & Rider' at our very first show.

Judge Kate Green, Deputy Editor of Country Life said "these stylish waterpoof overalls for ladies mean there's no excuse for looking inelegant while mucking out now".

We are passionate about helping to support and sustain the British manufacturing industry and we proudly manufacture all our coveralls here in the UK to the highest standards.

Proudly building our great British brand

In 2019 and 2020, further colour combinations of our Original Posh Muckerz® coveralls were launched and became instant sell-outs.

Spring 2021 saw the launch of our brand new Lightweight coveralls, making Posh Muckerz® coveralls an all-year-round wardrobe essential for discerning lady equestrians.

You then asked us to design matching waterproof Posh Muckerz® riding gloves. After joining forces with the UK's most respected glove designers and sourcing the optimum materials, the Posh Muckerz® riding gloves were added to our Collection in Autumn 2021.

OUR STORY CONTINUES

Going from strength to strength

Posh Muckerz® has since grown to become a recognised and much-loved British luxury outdoor clothing brand, and has gone from strength to strength.

We can now be seen at many prestigious equestrian and countryside events each year, including the Horse of the Year Show, Royal Windsor Horse Show, the Great Yorkshire Show and, of course, Olympia, where our story began.

Be it mucking out, clipping, gardening, farming, walking the dog, beating, keeping jodhpurs and show / hunting jackets clean before 'the off', staying warm and dry between eventing disciplines, riding out, carriage driving ... or just doing those mucky jobs at home or work, we bet that you'll soon wonder how you ever managed without your Posh Muckerz® ladies coveralls.

We even have customers who take to the ski slopes in them now too – the generous hood fits over ski helmets as well as riding helmets and the leg zips work equally well with ski boots.

The days of rolling up legs and arms on men's overalls and fishing keys out of pockets at knee-level or changing clothes several times a day are thankfully behind us.

OUR WORK WITH THE RDA UK

Posh Muckerz® are also very proud to be an official Partner Supporter of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA UK).

The RDA improves the lives of children and adults with disabilities through spending time with horses. We work alongside the RDA, assisting with fund raising, supporting para-riders and helping to raise awareness.

We have pledged to donate a percentage of Posh Muckerz® sales to the RDA Resilience Fund to help support the vital work of the RDA during the COVID-19 pandemic though the delivery of adapted activities and resources.

To date, your purchases of our coveralls, and the associated donations we have made to the RDA have had a massive positive impact, helping to fund life-changing experiences for disabled children and adults across the UK.
